Why go to the trouble of painting the stadium if those ungrateful effs don't even want to be there?
Maybe those bball players can earn their keep by painting in the summer.
They can learn Miyagi-do Karate and crane kick the crap out of the football players.

I think I read their special teams are much improved. Likewise, updating the paint job at WW1 Memorial Track would be a good start.

Is the old paint on their stadium lead-based?

Predates the discovery of lead.

I went to KU-KSU a couple of years ago at the sheep farm and we had a hell of a time trying to find our seats because the paint was so worn that you couldn't read what row it was on the aisles. They were also selling a Bill Synder sandwich.

can we get a fact check on any of this?

John Currie is like a miracle worker with money. Able to turn $52 million in bond sales for the WSC into $86.75 million.   He has his faults, but on some things he's just brilliant.

How rough ridin' old do you have to be before you have trouble finding your seat?

Do they really not understand that revenue from the suites themselves pay for the renovations?  Its basically a glorified condo complex.

Floating bonds for something like the Anderson sports sewer redo (facility that generates no revenue) is what has them up crap creek.

That's not real, but they wish so hard it was. However, he probably does deserve a sandwich. Again, if you're eating & drinking in the stadium, you're doing it wrong.

When your program sucks, tell your phogets how bad the new stadium is when you're there on game day instead of your own universities gameday.

Do they realize that a few of their sports facilities are just Grade F all around

www2.ljworld.com/news/2...gotta-be-shoes/

The players weren’t wearing different skates, but they were wearing different shoes.

Kansas junior cornerback JaCorey Shepherd, in the midst of a strong season, was burned repeatedly Saturday in a thoroughly embarrassing 34-0 white-washing administered by an Iowa State team that entered the frigid night winless in Big 12 play.

I asked Shepherd a series of questions about him and teammates slipping repeatedly on the field, particularly outside the hash marks, and why the Cyclones weren’t doing the same thing.

“It was just more maybe the shoes,” Shepherd said, an answer that made perfect sense. “Just the bottom of the shoes. Certain cleats are built for certain conditions, and I guess that their cleats were a little more suitable for this type of weather and the way the field was.”

How were they different?

“A lot of players on their team had more screw-in or metal bottoms,” Shepherd said. “And that helps you get a lot more grip. We just had our regular cleats that we always wear.”

Hmm:  Iowa State, night game, late November, grass . . . let's take the molded FieldTurf cleats only and not the big honking screw-ins.  (Sounds like K-State in the Texas Bowl).
