I think he's more of a Matt Campbell than a Bo Pelini. Bo's in his own league until someone else pisses themselves on the sidelines.

Bo and Lance aren't low confidence losers though.

LL might not be Pelini but he's definitely the biggest red ass in the league. But probably more whiny than ragey compared to Bo.

This, which makes him a perfect fit for Lawrence.

Lance emulates Bo Pelini on the sidelines, which makes sense because they overlapped at Nebraska 20 years ago.

so THAT is who he reminded me of.  I was trying to place it.

Yea sounds familiar, I wonder if he's a piss pants too?

The Lightpole/Pelini comparison strikes me as pretty spot on.  "Whiny" guys don't get that "in the face" of officials.  Their hat brims touched for crying out loud!

Believe BYU's coach Kalani Sitake is a medium plus Whiney coach.  The whole fanbase appears to give the persona of us against the world.

KU's project cost due to inflation has pushed to nearly $450 million.

From "we've got donors who can rummage around in the couch and pay for all of this" to . . . . nearly $100 million in government cheese and potentially another $115 million in bond debt (and counting) just to get started.

Such is the cost of waiting to do something that should have been done 25 years ago.

This is going to be a Cal Memorial stadium situation. They're going to push it through and barely be able to pay the interest on it each year.

The bond debt is not a foregone conclusion, but unless someones write some record breaking checks, they're gonna need it.

Nearly a 30% cost increase in just a year.  Ouchie  :frown:

Suckling off the government teet is a part of their farming tradition. They’d be asking for that money even if they had enough private dollars.

I did some math and if we hadn't touched our stadium, it would take us $375-400 million today to do all the work we have done in the last 12 or so years (WSC, Vanier, NEZ Fun Zone, Field Wall, Shamrock Zone, New Indoor).

It's wild they're going to spend that much for so little and still be so far behind us.

Baylor had to add $30m to $35m to their new b-ball arena budget just to get what they originally planned for.
