I don't know that I've ever seen a coach get close enough to an official that the brims of their hats touch.

Yep, and I believe there's another one out there showing actual contact.

That's only about a 1/10 of a notch from where he's usually at, the entire freaking game.

Spracs seems to be a little sensitive about Lance acting like a jackass on the sidelines.

It never occurred to me to care. Then again, I watch Bill Self working the refs all the time, so it seems normal to me.

Everybody works the refs, I don't have much experience watching him outside of Saturdays game and their game against ou, but he seems to go far beyond that. Even when Self gets red faced, it doesn't seem like he's out of control.

Shhhhhhhhhhh

I’m hoping he evolves into the next Paul Rhodes

Picture the next ~5 years sunflower showdowns squawk losing due to a string of comedic errors and LL steadily getting more theatrical in his outbursts

I need this in my life so dont ruin it for me 😂

I'm actually far more interested in your thoughts on Lance seemingly admit to benching Bean. I actually think, given the game plan, that playing Ballard was the better call, as I said last week, I think that the K-State d had an advantage against the offense KU usually runs. There seems to be a lot of people on the bird app pissed that Bean was benched.

Yeah

LL said that Bean was available if needed, so that's what fans are running with. Plus, there's the emotional factor that it was Senior Night (I think this is what is sticking in the craws of a lot of KU keyboard jockeys). Available does not mean he was 100%. I noticed JD6 was also suited up. Ballard played well enough to win. I personally believe that KU retooled its offense around Ballard, and Ballard took most of the reps in practice. By the time Bean was medically cleared, I think LL and staff were already too far down the road riding with Ballard. I've heard that by Monday or Tuesday of game week at the latest, this staff doesn't change horses midstream, so to speak. In short, it didn't upset me.

Does anyone know where that pic is of Willie with a Cats flag planted firmly on the Jayhawk at the 50 yard line from a few years ago?

@ BSFS East?
Yes it was taken at the Squawk house

Lance emulates Bo Pelini on the sidelines, which makes sense because they overlapped at Nebraska 20 years ago.

Lance is stern, but he's not some red-assed clown like Pelini.

Lance is very ragey and as long as he spends a good portion of the game whining and raging out on the refs, we shall continue to talk about it.

Tnat's the culture of MLB with a 120+ year tradition. Coaches of college kids without the remove of the dugout need to set a calmer example  Probably another Woody Hayes incident coming.
