College football overtime is stupid
I had no idea the rules had changed since we easily won our OT game this season. SOO DUMB, not as bad as the NFL but still dumb.
What rules would you use for overtime?
I liked the old OT rules.  nothing quite like a random thursday night MAC game that would go to 7 OT's.
I can't remember, did that force teams to try for 2pt conversions after the first OT?

Was there another coin toss after the second OT that maybe they didn't show or I missed?

Arkansas was on offense first in the 2nd OT, obviously scored and made the 2 pt conversion, and then KU went on to do the same... but Ark attempted their 3rd OT 2pt conversion first, when it should've been KU?

I appreciate college OT more than NFL OT.
Why? NFL has all the elements of a real game, CFB does not. CFB skews the rules to give teams new advantages that don't apply during regular time. NFL does not

I can't get behind sudden death.  I don't like the forced 2pt conversion, but it's better than sudden death, imo.

New NFL playoffs OT guarantees both teams a possession

I wasn't aware.  Just googled that and reading the playoff variation of the NFL, I agree with you.

I was TSC'ing hard last night and never gave up hope on the Fighting Jayhawks of Kansas.

But, to compare KU (losers of 7 out of their last 8 games) to a Super Bowl caliber NFL team that lost a hard fought AFC championship game is so LOL'able cringe

I would use NFL playoff rules
Yeah I used to like college OT vs. NFL, but I think NFL playoff rules are probably the gold standard now.

How bout the kim carnes rule, stop complaining about ot rules and win in regulation if it’s so important to you.
