What Snyder did with KSU is turn a team that was thinking about dropping football completely, that was the worst major conference team in history, and make them respectable. His two Big XII titles does not seem like much but they were so god damn horrendous for their entire history they are still like 60 years from catching up to us and we aren't even historically average.

Not sure what kind of counting backwards methodology you are using but KU won most games up until the 90's. If you look at it by the decade K-state was able to get 3 wins tops. I get the argument, that KU fans are stuck in the past, but it would be more accurate if you were arguing that they would have to be a fan in the 70's or 80's.

Your youngster has quite a sense of history.  I bet she went on to say that KU really whipped a lot of Kstate ass during the 60’s and 70’s as well. 

I saw a poll where youngsters of today more easily recognize musics greatest long term hits over much of the modern music of today.  So it’s only matter of time before the current KU football players  start referencing Nolan Cromwell or David Jaynes often in interviews.
