No, I remember. Mangino's last year at KU would have been about an average year for McCarney. To compare the two is just ridiculous. And my god, Indiana football is terrible. They had a nice little run of barely getting bowl eligible, but pretty soon they'll be back to their 3 or 4 win every year selves.
Its really not as ridiculous as you think. McCarney was granted extreme patience and his first 5 years were awful while Mangino only had one of those. However, the last 7 years for each coach are pretty similar, Mangino's one really good year was just better than McCarney's.
