is there such a thing as an ADA grandfathered stadium that would preclude them from having to bring it up to code as soon as work begins? my understanding was once you started renovating, you needed to bring it up to current code.

I was thinking the same thing. I think it's based on how much money you spend on renovations. It's the reason the practice facility isn't connected to Bramlage.

Last time I paid attention, it had to do with quantity of renovation. For example, you could remodel the existing donor suite without ADA blowback, but couldn't redo all the concourse. They would have to ADA that piece of crap as well as any new piece of crap.

Who cares if they are legally obligated to or not, they have a moral obligation to make the stadium suitable for every last fan to be able to attend and personally behold these asskickings of historical proportion.

The same basic foundational stadium as those guys plus the hill pretty much makes it all a moot point. If they expanded it wouldn't be fair to those other guys and that just wouldn't be good for the health of college football. You're welcome, college football.
