For those saying he "knows texas recruiting..." How big of a difference is there in recruiting Texas kids to Texas A&M, and recruiting Texas kids to KU?

Not sure on the answer here but remember when Prince landed Franklin to the staff?  Wasn't he supposed to be one of the most touted recruiters around?  We all remember what he brought us right?  And maybe it would have been different if he was head coach instead of Prince? 

It makes a difference, but probably not as much as you think. Facilities attract coaches and coaches recruit players imo.

I heard Self on the radio a couple weeks ago talking about how he'd rather have one of those closed scrimmages against another D1 instead of playing two home exhibition games against Washburn level teams, but the budget doesn't allow for it.
