I liked when they claimed that Charlie Jr., a student assistant, has a better understanding of the offense than all of the offensive coaches.
They already ran off Grunhard, maybe this is a way to run off all the other dead weight until just the two Charlies are left and running the show. Then they can truly show off the genius of the two Charlies without anyone getting in their way.

Grunhard left because its impossible to recruit to KU.

Not true. He left because he's a dick. Wasn't he forced out?

He was probably not down with the staff's "I'm just here to collect checks" mentality.   I could see a guy like Grunhard wanting to improve his stock with wins and move up the coaching ranks.

Yeah because nothing says move up the coaching ranks like leaving a big 12 school to go be the offensive line coach at a 4A high school.

If you substitute "KU" for "Big 12 school"  it makes perfect sense.

Ive sat front row, at both BSFS and the field with the track surrounding it at KU.

BSFS was great. world class people, beautiful sight lines, not a bad view at all as you can still see every play develop. If it was a girl, you would take her home to meet your parents, definitely.

KU had a truck driving back and forth with a cherry picker and a camera man blocking your view most of the time. Only positive was Sam Steele(now ponder) was working the game in that short gray dress tho.

I think it was you that missed the point. KSU is more attractive than before because of facilities. How much is hard to determine, but that's not the point either. The point is that it's a gamble for every school, and KSU is no exception. The last hire didn't work, but it wasn't because KSU is some untouchable program, it's because that gamble simply didn't work.

Any BCS school, including KU and KSU, are at least moderately attractive to most coordinators and non-power conference coaches. Doesn't mean every single one of them will jump at an offer, but they will probably think about it. They all know they might be able to wait it out and get something better, but maybe not. You think Pat Hill is happy he stayed at Fresno State? Nobody can confirm who chased after him, but he was a hot name at one point.

You're the one who doesn't get it.

There's always going to be uncertainty in any coaching hire, but the level of uncertainty varies based on which program is doing the hiring.  For instance, Alabama has the ability to lure Nick Saban from the NFL, but most programs are forced to settle for less.  With Prince, K-State was forced to take a gamble that the more traditional football programs wouldn't have had to take.  Yes, facilities have improved at K-State, but every football program in the country is upgrading their facilities.  It's not unique to K-State to have better facilities now than they did in 2005.

The truth is that outside of one coach, K-State football has been horrible.  Until K-State succeeds with someone other than Snyder, people will continue to question the overall attractiveness of the program.

Its really all they've got... Their sole hope in all of this is that we don't maintain our position as an annual contender for the Dr. Pepper.  Although I understand it will be hard to find "another LHC Bill Snyder", anything better than that shitshow of a coach named Ron Prince will have us bowl eligible annually.

Well, he thinks they're a joke and he laughed a lot at their expense (the talent they had) while he was there/after. Also, BITB is definitely exaggerating about being held over some ledge by grunny. Like, we're talking, bull crap story like spencer getting his bike stolen from Pullen. No more... :buh-bye:

I played poker with a guy last night in Las Vegas that I had met before. He always wears ku stuff because his son was the golf coach at KU. So I asked him 'Is your son still the golf coach at ku?'. He said 'No they got dead last 2 years in a row, so he got fired.' So I said 'They didn't fire Charlie Weiss.' while laughing.
