I can't wait to see how the strip mall of bars does on days in which we don't have a home game.

we could only dream of killng off aggieville.  but no, it's like an unstoppable fungus, or mr.bread's college roommate's herpes, it just won't die no matter how much gold bond you put on it.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

TsNPs to all the alcoholics in Manhattan.  Here's hoping their addiction only harms themselves and not others.

This is why it won't matter what day it is for these guys.

With all of the BSFS NEZ buzz, I got to thinking about KU's track renovation.  I though that thing was fast-tracked (pun intended) to be done before the '14 football season.  Yet, here we are in Feb and there hasn't been any track-removal chatter for 4 months.  maybe the new bball dorms pushed it down on the priority list?

HKUFBIQ folks, what's the story here?

The track program has its complex.  This is a pic from early December '13:

Next step will be removing the track from Memorial.  Expect some renderings in the spring.

The last page could be in its own thread called "K-State wants to be Iowa State". That sounds rough ridin' amazing, I'm sorry you won't be able to play corn hole in a sheep field.

Iowa State isn't the school with a farm directly adjacent to the stadium.

trailer park tho

Did you guys miss the part of cc's post that mentions condos and other commerce also in the area? I'm sure one or two restaurants/bars in that space will be fine, he didn't say bar district. I bet they could plop a bar/restaurant on the NE corner of Kimball and College today and it would be fine with just people at Woodway and UC that want to have a short walk to a bar/restaurant, you could easily claim that section of Manhattan is underserved today and that's before the projected future growth.

The people who oppose development are stupid. How do we get them to talk crap on the people who made sure I-70 was routed around Manhattan?  Because that would be great irony.

KU is going to announce something incredibly pathetic regarding their stadium in the next couple of years. We'll all laugh at it, Dax will point out how little they're spending, some rich crony in Lawrence will make a windfall, and the phogtards will celebrate, say it's better than BSFS and BMW will say we're butthurt. It will be a fine day for the blogosphere.

Got some bad news guys.   I totally bought a box of the biscuit mix and it tastes exactly the same!   It's just like when other schools started recruiting jucos all over again!   :runaway:

As I understand the engineering process is going to involve a close and calculated analysis of what K-State has built and is going to build.  They will then design something better, with the K-State project(s) being pretty much their measuring stick.  That kind of reverse engineering can take some time, but be sure it will be this spring.  In no way will that be ignored and the project shuffled on down the road.  They learned their lesson from the mortally embarrassing "Grid Iron" club fiasco.

If we had I-70 we would just be a much larger version of Junction City. . .which I find appalling.
