The ISU game was a weather anomaly.  I think we could have had a good shot to win that game under normal conditions.  The field of ice we played on gave the WR a distinct advantage in the game.  The secondary has to react to the WR, which was near impossible on the ice.  It was also tough to put a good rush on a QB on the ice.  Thus you had WRs getting open and a QB who had extra time to sit back and pick apart the secondary.  Our strength was our running game, but we couldn't run on that field in those conditions.  Our complete lack of a passing game hurt us more in this game than any other.  ISU had a QB and receivers to take advantage of these conditions.  We didn't.  Once we realized we couldn't run the ball, we went to Heaps and to his credit he threw pass after pass on the money, but our WRs had stone hands.  I remember one point in the second half where our WRs dropped 5 passes in a row. 

In normal conditions we could have slowed down the pace and ran the ball and ISU wouldn't have been able to throw the ball all over the field the way they did.

I re-posted it simply as further proof/documentation of the claim that many have made that beems & tmcats are really one in the same, although just wearing different colors on gameday.  Carry on.
