Rumors are now circulating that  Quay Davis, who signed with the Jayhawks not quite 2 months ago, has beat up his girlfriend and will be removed from the program before ever setting foot on campus.

He would have been their highest rated recruit.

I once blew clove smoke in a guy's face that cut in front of me in the line to KJ's.

Literally having NO head coach wouldn't be worse than the last 11 years. Just a committee of assistants. Think of all the money we would have saved.

I laughed, but then realized... it's true.

It's highly unlikely the committee would have done worse with play calling, and they would have saved tens of millions of dollars!

Isn't a committee of assistants what they basically tried with Beaty

their response to domestic violence has really come a long way from suspending a player for 1 half of 1 game. Good on them!  :tsc:

So are the instate bros gonna warm up the coaching search?  I'm pretty excited for them.

The Army (Monken) coach and the Buffalo (Leipold) coach are the two getting the flock horned up at the moment.

It's gonna end up being Kevin Kane, isn't it?

If the athletic department wants Jeff Monken, they'll get him. He's constantly being tied to that job, that has to be his agent working. This isn't a let's work a raise out of my employer thing, not at army.

IF (and that's a big if), that's their best hire since Mangino. He may/may not get things turned around, but he'll create a culture conducive to winning and should be able to recruit reasonably well by KU standards. It'll be interesting to see what he does offensively. But, at a minimum, he'll be way cheaper than Miles and way more competent than Beaty.

1. Their FB program would get a lot better

2.  This thread wouldn't make it to 1200 pages

lol, Monken wouldn't win there, LMAO. He isn't going to get actual talent to play that style. How good of a P5 program will you get if you only get talent that has no interest in playing in the NFL?

He obviously wouldn't be the embarrassment that Les or Weis were but that doesn't mean he'll win.
