As open as the stadium is, I can't understand how it could be that loud.
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Really wasn't all that loud until the series of unfortunate events began at the end of the first half.

I don't care for those "four different grandstands" type stadiums. Virginia Tech/Iowa are similar.  Iowa is the least offensive to me.

It’s still great, and looks/feels pretty “big time” at least on TV.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I agree, but one thing that was nice about BYU is that they have a circular walkway on the second level that goes all the way around the stadium. You can kind of see it in the crappy pictures I took. That makes the disjointed stadiums much more tolerable in my view.

I'll hold off until I see them in action but in the renderings they make the stadium feel smaller than it actually is. Also they just look weird.

I'll join michigancat in saying I too actually like the lights. Without them it would be too obvious that this really is just another generic stadium. Obviously we're going to have to wait until all the dressings are added, but right now they're the only thing that give it any character.

All the best college football stadiums in the country are pieced together from their original form. In college football terms, if they wanted to do something to stay out of the generic stadium category, they should've figured out a way to build some monstrosity of a north end zone complex around the original bones of Memorial stadium. And obviously do the west and east in phases.

No new stades come close to being good college stadiums and the lights feel more gimmicky than unique. Especially when they'll probably have to have the same conversation explaining what they represent 100,000 times (and also why the east side never has them).

Driving west on 70 this past weekend, they are very visible, even at night while off

Fans are as advertised per farming cat.  Very friendly walk to the stadium.

If Jack Trice Field and Memorial Stadium had a kid, you'd have Mountaineer Stadium

It’s wild that they’re 90% or something the exact same stadium

Never been to ISU but yeah the look and feel feels very Jack Trice. At least from the photos it looks like a pretty clean, well kept, if basic stadium. Couldn't say that about ku's memorial stadium/the leftover east stands.

Looked it up on Wikipedia, both are by Finch-Heery and built within 5 years of each other (mid to late 70s). So that makes sense they are so similar.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Milan_Puskar_Stadium

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jack_Trice_Stadium

And it even says Milan Puskar was inspired by Jack Trice
