Still blows my mind KU got a $50million donation earmarked for the football stade and they can't piece anything together. Hell, I think that South Alabama stade was just a bit more than that.

Also... ski ben, did you see the one light pole in the one corner of that endzone???? (looks like they have two on the other end.

The beavs def need to get some log dam facade on the endzone fun zone erector set or maybe a log dam water feature like the k. Also live beavs in the fake dam water feature/lazy river.

After seeing the announcement about Oregon State, who will have a nicer stadium than Oregon when that's done.   I decided to search out some of the latest on the renovations of Memorial Stadium at KU.   Not much cooking there, which is partially understandable because of Covid and how dreadful that football program is right now.

It also appears that there's a growing movement among KU fans to 'Duke WBB' the rest of the men's basketball season.

KSO talked about how the new indoor facility, or I should say the newest indoor facility and new V-Ball arena/Olympic Training center may get done by 2023.   But the Associate AD for facilities at K-State just left to be a VP at Mammoth Sports.

How many years ago did they get that $50 million for Memorial? Did they use it to remove the track and for the Jiffy Lube franchising fee?

It's 2021 and they've been talking about a full scale renovation of Memorial Stadium for over 2 decades now.

Meanwhile at K-State there's not only nothing left of the original stadium besides the concrete in the lower seating bowl, there's nothing left from all the Snyder 1.0 facilities improvements besides the indoor practice facility.

General thoughts on Mercedes Benz Stadium - Atlanta GA.

1. As impressive looking of a building as you’ll find anywhere.

2.  Solidifies ATL for Super Bowls, CFPO, Final Fours for decades to come.

3.  Had comp tickets on 200 level.  200 level is nice but a little tight.  Access to Booze Drinks B+, Food B+, restrooms C.  Bump 100 level to A across the board.

4.  Rode MARTA to station right next to stadium, Grade A for access.

5.  Video board A, missed A+ because of angle of head tilt required.

6.  Sound system - incredible A+

Surrounding restaurants - bars. TBD could not fit into schedule.

There is a great selection of bars and restaurants around there. World of Coke, Georgia Aquarium, Centennial Park,CNN Center, CFB Hall of Fame, multiple restaurant districts all within walking distance. Last time I was in Atlanta I ate near there at maybe my favorite chain restaurant, Ted's Montana Grill.

I went to the Barclays Center last night. A 10% capacity game is weird. I think they put most of them in the upper deck. They had like weird stages at the top of the lower bowl of where their dance and drum teams performed. Really low energy overall but it was fun to see Claws and Landry Shamet start an NBA game.

I've been in downtown ATL before, it's just been awhile since I was directly in the convention center/arena/stadium district.

We went to the CFBHOF before the pandemic and were in multiple areas in the periphery of that area doing things like the Tequila tour.

Can we get one of those innie video boards in Bramlage? Maybe an Octagon one? I can't read the big ass one we have now when I sit court side.

Low Bramlage VideoBoard IQ here:  They didn't put the mini-boards underneath for those at courtside?
