IIRC when the draft was in Nashville a few years ago they claimed over half a million people showed up for it.  It could still all be made up numbers though!

I would reckon if someone goes Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, they count as 3 people. I know a lot of folks in KC who plan on just going down at some point and walking around or whatever. We might do that like the Monday before the draft. 300k doesn't sound crazy

anybody going in needs to scan in so should be easy for them to report. I can't believe how many I've heard excited locally and traveling in for the draft, in KC. I can see making a trip out of it to Vegas but here? Meh.

Fair. Weird reason to come just to stand on the hill and wait hours for your team to announce their draft pick.

I bet it hits the 300k mark in total attendance, seems crazy to me though. Good for the NFL making something out of nothing.

Thursday will definitely be a riot. Thinking close to 100k. Biggest Draft footprint in league history.

so effed up it's hard to even fathom.
Yeah this stinks and it sucks that he hasn't been charged yet. Dude needs to be charged immediately.

The whole "victim can't speak so we can't charge" is the most trash thing I've heard and that's saying something when it comes to KCPD (who once again are the only major city with state appointed board so no real local accountability)

Can you explain that more about KCPD in regards to state appointed board?  How did they manage that and not St Louis PD?

STL got rid of it in 2012 by a vote but looks like the state is trying to take back control. The whole thing goes back a long time of the state overseeing city police forces, not sure  exactly "why" except things like local fraud from Pendergast era?

If it’s in the hands of state politicians in misery I’d say expect the worst outcome possible.

It can't be anything more than they're the most liberal areas of a far-right state so the state wants control.
