Yeah, but could you find anywhere to park?
No it's a shitshow

Rumor is that's how it started. Parking.

No but the suspects did get in two separate car wrecks in different directions blocks apart so maybe they got road rage.

Don't know if you guys have been following this Buzz stuff, but Afentra got an afternoon show on 105.1 and is going head-to-head with her ex-husband and father of her children Lazlo.

Pretttttttttty weird.

I was just reading that on reddit. I didn't know they were divorced. I also don’t think I've ever heard of 105.1.

Yeah they got divorced a couple years ago.  Afentra's contract didn't get renewed a couple months ago.  I guess her non-compete is about to run out.

It’s weird too because Lazlo was her boss as the program director and he made the decision on it. 105.1 is great btw.

Lazlo doesn't determine who's contracts get renewed.

You don’t think he has a little bit of a say as the Program Director?

Not really.  I imagine entercom is the one calling those kinds of shots.

He a lot of say when I worked there, but you could be right. Obviously Dave, the head of EntercomKC, is the final decision maker. Wonder if he felt that one of them had to go after the divorce.

I doubt the divorce had much to do with it -- they got divorced years ago.  maybe this was the first contract termination date since the divorce?

I also really doubt that lazlo would have effectively fired the mother of his kids, but who knows.

Yeah, I assume it was the first time her contract came up since the divorce. You're probably right, it's just strange all around.

Yeah.  Anyway I've listened to lazlo for like, 12 or 13 years so I'm absolutely interested in how all of this is going to go.

It's the monday night wars all over again!  Except it's EVERY WEEKDAY AFTERNOON!  :excited:

I'm happy (for her kids sake) she was able to find work locally.  (Unless I'm wrong about there being a bunch of alternative radio stations in KC)

It can't be super circumstantial that her contract was not renewed by the same station that employs her ex husband....and that she found a job after her non-compete ended for a rival station in the same time slot as her ex husband.

Apparently Dannyboy and Mark's contract was not renewed at the beginning of this month?  I noticed they are no longer on the morning show as well.

Additionally, Lazlo brushes it off that they both can have success and it's not a big deal.   Listen longer, though!

By the way, the little I've listed to the new morning show host on 96.5 has been enough for me to no longer want to listen in the mornings.  She is pretty awful.  Apparently Lazlo had influence in bringing her to KC.  :dunno:
