I worked at AECOM for 9 years (5 in KC), and while they do have a pretty big office in KC and a good architecture group(formerly Ellerbe Beckett), I don't think anyone there does airport design. At least when I was there, they did mostly stadiums and hospitals. So the "local" presence there didn't mean a whole lot since most of the design work would've been farmed out to LA and a few other offices. Now, generally they will "relocate" a team of people working on a major project, so there would be a handful living and working in KC while the project was going on. Kindof how I was "relocated" to Michigan for a couple years. If you count living in a hotel relocated.Have never even heard of the firm that had their proposal selected.

Can you imagine how pissed wackycat08 would be with the massive property value increase if that happened
I thought SWA backed the B&M design?

Amazon is going to buy Sprint (telecom market) and Cerner (electronic health record market) so HQ2 should definitely be in kansas city
