I'm bumping this as it didn't get the love it deserves.  This is a big deal.

Of downtown resident/worker/tourist/driver interest.

Fill out the survey

http://www.beyondtheloopkc.com/meeting-materials
i read it and came away thinking that traffic engineers/professionals should be deciding these things, not Pat from the crossroads

i bitch a lot about transparency and inclusion when it comes to govt decisions but this wouldn't be one of those times

i would think an upside down Y would make the most sense merging eastbound to north traffic from the left branch with westbound to north traffic coming from the right branch - all onto the northbound bridge

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

This is just to gauge public opinion and will be a factor in deciding which top proposals to put through more study.

My vote is full north loop removal, new bridge closer to 35  with protect bike and ped walkway (D), and 9 highway with a linear park down the middle.

Cool stats though. Just not sure the terminal is the make-or-break factor

Traffic is the obv factor.  Terminal isn't helping.

Nashville is a unique industry center?  Not sure I follow that.
The music industry. Definitely not a huge factor.

good point..surprising they have passenger counts so close to KCI given that.

i agree. it's a testament to how great our airport is

It's good enough for 99% of the crowd. The only ppl who bitch are the ppl who leave their cubes once a month to travel for work and act like they're elite.

There is a person, Monte, that I used to work with that had a saying.

That saying was "It's good enough for the girls I go out with."

It is a point to ponder and really makes you think.

Wonder why kci has the largest number of transatlantic passengers per day with no transatlantic flights? Convenience!
I would guess geography is a big part of it too. Who's second in that category?

https://twitter.com/JustinMeyerKC/status/785602370797314048

Indy.  Everybody bigger than KCI on this chart now has service since this tweet...geography isn't the challenge, the condition of our international gate is.
indy built a $1.1 Billion dollar terminal in 2008 and still no TATL?  Am I reading this right?

The city that recently hosted the super bowl and hosts the final four every 5 or 6 years now?
