Will any of these supposedly "elite" KC BBQ joints be open on the 4th? Or do i need to come up early Friday?

theyll all be open, but dont go. instead come to KC and hit up one of our world famous Winstead's and then stop by PowerPlay in shawnee to play some laser tag after the royals game #WelcomeToKC

Joe's may close... They seem to close a lot. The real ones will be open.

What? I don't see the need to wait in line for BBQ that is just as good if not better in Wichita with no line.

Has anyone been to "Up Down" yet? It went where Hamburger Mary's was. It's like a vintage arcade, but it's a bar and it's plastered with 90's wallpaper from shows like "family matters", "Full House", etc. It's kinda cool.

Retro arcade with booze. Dave and busters with no kids and old school games.

I heard that. I'll be honest, I found myself wanting to sit on the upstairs patio after a few games to drink, but it is a lot of fun.
