Today, when I was turning right at a 4 way light, a city bus illegally turned left into my lane (instead of waiting for me. I had the right of way) and forcing me into the corner. My back right tire popped on impact and the rough ridin' city bus drove off. What a start to a day.  :shakesfist:

You got silverbacked by a bus

Assuming you didn't get the bus' number, you could report the exact time and location, and they could probably figure out which bus it was.  That is, if you feel like seeking any type of relief.

I mean, it will be $100 to replace the tire, but it's the principle. Plus, I just got done poring in like $1500 into this car in the last month and a half. At this rate, Ms. wacky's ring is going to be totally financed.  :frown:

im no traffic/roadway engineer but you didnt have the right-of-way and the bus doesnt have the same laws about turning into lanes as a passenger car does. if youre turning right on red, you dont have the right-of-way to anyone. if you had a right green arrow (highly doubt this) and the bus ran the light, you have the right-of-way.

also, you spelled road wrong.

It wasn't a red light, it was a green light. He was facing me across the street. It was off of 11th and broadway.

Your diagram makes no sense then.

Did you just post the first traffic diagram that you found online?

The diagram made perfect sense to me after I applied the actual facts to it and ignored the diagram.  It really helped me visualize an intersection, though, to be fair.

The diagram didn't even have the right number of lanes.

ah, so you both had greens? okay well in that case its the bus' fault, he has to yield to any oncoming traffic. sorry about your car.

That's what I was starring at. With the bus in the middle lane of that pic. I was turning right obviously, because you can't drive fwd.

ahh, so the bus had a left turn yield on green?  Sounds like you can screw them to the wall then.

It sounds like Wacky should have turned into his lane (far right) and the bus should have turned into its lane (far left) at the same time...and if that was impossible for the bus then it should have waited...

Yeah, but it wasn't, because the bus was trying to beat me to the spot for some reason.

Do those buses have one of those "How is my driving?" stickers on the back?
