also have we talked about the westport parking lot development debacle?

Qdoba & Pickleman's :flush:

if you think about it, that might be some of the most valuable real estate in the entire city right now.

Glad parking lots are going away.....not happy hearing about how poor the building design is....the tenants promised there don't mean much as they will probably shut down soon.  Westport needs to demand better design standards like we're fighting for downtown.  Developers will always take the path of least resistance.
Was talking with an architect about the parking stuff.  He said they got bored in office and took a map of westport first, then all of kc, and said there is more space for parking than retail/restaurant space.  It pretty much confirms what i thought, suburbs make people irrationally  scared of walking around in a semi urban setting.

Its crazy kansas city has a pretty neat historical buildings, even though so many have been torn down.  Is there an archive dedicated to what kc looked like historically?  I'd totally check that out.

Anyone going to Book of Mormon?  Anyone miss out on tickets?

Next weekend. Glad to hear the traveling show is on part with the Broadway version (per the KC star review at least)

Yeah I'm not sure. The issue is I'm asking to serve one beer a month from another brewery, and the crossroads assoc doesn't dig that. BUT border is allowed to have outside beer and wine, so I don't quite understand why they would allow them to have this "privilege" and not me.

Basically this guy thinks he runs the crossroads and makes you agree to what he wants, and if you don't he gets all the businesses to block your request.

check yo PMs.....what makes KCMO the worst?  Sign off by the neighbors?  That seems like a pretty good rule in theory but I could see it causing NIMBY issues.

I've never opened up an establishment in another city, so I don't know first hand if it's the wort. but, my lawyer has repeatedly told me that opening in the crossroads is an uphill battle the whole way. and he's been right.

Note: have never bribed anyone.  Just know that the guy in question probably makes like $40k a yr.  $2k cash would probably be impossible to turn down.

I think he makes more than that, since he owns like 50% of the properties in the crossroads...
