Boston is turning into one big dramatic circle jerk.

Congrats, you caught 2 kids with the help of every Federal LEO agency in the country.

Meanwhile 3x as many people died and 2x as many people are injured in Waco yet not a drop of info on that in the news.
it is an interesting sociopolitical study. I have a hard time blaming the media. they simply provide their customers with the product they demand. if the public was more interested in waco then that would be the lead story. obviously terrorism is a bigger story than a tragic accident. :dunno:

it's much more interesting to people to follow a story about how someone unknown set out to murder a lot of people in an act of terror and the subsequent manhunt than to follow a fertilizer fire/explosion (or any other normal fire, earthquake, tornado, etc.). unless you were personally effected by the fertilizer explosion you were much more interested in the Boston thing. you can dispute it if you want, but I won't believe you.

I'm not referring to the media. I am talking about the civic leaders going around telling everyone about how "brave" the people of Boston are for hiding in their houses while every cop in America is looking for some teenager. As if that took some special skill or an unsurmountable amount of heart. There are more dangerous people on the loose out there RFN.

I'll get flamed for this but I have a strong feeling RCPD/The KBI/KHP would have had a situation similar to this wrapped up a lot quicker (the manhunt side((and yes I have witnessed them perform one))). I mean the Boston PD BOTCHED the car chase and then mumped up the scent trails for the dogs, that is some of the most basic academy crap ever.

God forbid they have a serial murderer in the future, they might have to call out the Marine Corps.

And not even for critiquing the media because you are right there, there is an odd victim culture which the media influences. But the rest...man the rest....

The prez, my local news and paper reported on the fertilizer fire.

Effin Anderson Cooper has been on the scene the past two days.

What is your rough ridin' deal??..

Would watch. You gotta admit, the 19 year-old is a slippery little bastard. I mean, who successfully gets away from the cops?

I know four people died and 180 injured with many victims losing limbs in the attack, but it could have been a lot worse in the causality department

Third pressure cooker bomb and numerous pipe bombs missed cops, bullets were being sprayed into surrounding houses at the end of Tamerlan's run with nobody being hit. One police man dead was basically executed, but to only have four die in all is a blessing

America!

4 counts of first degree murder, most likely.

What about some federal terrorism charges? And what about all the people who were maimed but not killed?
