Walked by the scene today. (Well, as close as you can get, which is about three blocks away.) Probably about 100 people leaving flowers/messages/stuffed animals, etc. Very respectfully quiet the whole time except those who were crying. V. sad.

But there's all kinds of awesome posters everywhere touting Bostonians' indomitable spirit, as you might expect, and a bunch of them could double in the weight room slogan thread.
The weirdest thing I've seen today is a few blocks away. On a still blocked off street around the corner there's still all the signage from right after the race, like "Family meet-up area X/Y/Z," etc. Along those same deserted streets are thousands and thousands of empty, used Gatorade cups on the ground, still untouched from two days ago. I guess they're leaving it for now in case there's evidence piled in there? Is that what you goEMAW'rs would guess? Or have they just had too much else on their plates to clean up?
