My favorite part about DM is how whenever he signed a player, even a minor league one, someone would check the player's twitter profile and every freaking time it had a religious quote on it.

Also, I know baseball is hard and 2015 and 2016 couldn't have been complete luck, but based on pretty much every other decision this dumbshit made, I think maybe it was. I still enjoyed the crap out of it though and would make the players give up their porn again for another run like that.

yeah it's hard to take away two straight WS appearances as luck. i think they were ahead of the game in investing in latin america, and then they accidentally backed into a new way to moneyball (cheap yet incredibly effective bullpen).
in the 2014 playoffs the worst HR hitting team in major league baseball decided to start cranking dingers out right and left.
in 2015 they were a legit dominant team from wire to wire. if anything they benefitted from the yankees/red sox/AL central being down. but i'm not going to take anything away from DM for taking advantage of that. they did come a whisker away from losing to the astros in the ALDS, though. but that's playoff baseball babay.

after 2015, every move he made was questionable at best.
