I am 100% with Jakesie on this one. Nobody could ever or will ever be as undeservingly overrated as Nirvana.
I see some people saying the Beatles. That's weird. The Beatles were in the early 60's, and people still listen to them, and their songs still resonate with new generations (like mine), and their musical and lyrical genius is still evident, like, all over the place. You know what? Nobody rough ridin' listens to Nirvana anymore. If I hear Lithium on the radio I'm changing the station. The whole idea of Nirvana was purely a reaction to the overblown excess of 80's glam. You know what? Nobody rough ridin' listens to glam anymore either. They were two extremes that have not passed the test of time.
