the only debatable reason for this would be if you have a three car garage or larger. anything smaller and there is zero upside and plenty of down.

maybe there is a second front door just to the left and the two front doors are separated by a foot of wall in order to keep people from bumping into each other when coming/going.

It's just a standard 8' door. I'm not sure of the width.

tennis balls hanging from the ceiling seem very practical. Hardest part is probably getting the rope/string into the tennis ball. Second hardest part is hanging it from the ceiling.

We marked a spot on our garage wall. Once the antenna shadow gets past the mark, boom! parked far enough in BUT NOT TOO FAR!!!

I actually enjoy the 2 door vs 1 door debate more than the 2 bone vs 1 bone debate of 2014 or whenever that was.

if just a 2 car garage, I agree with Daris #team1door
