also, straight out of the fridge? and how do you manage the butter stick wrapping so as to expose part of it for rubbing, but leave a wrapped part for grabbing? and, are you rubbing with the small end or an entire long side? and also, is your butter one of those extra skinny and long packed so you have 4 sitting 2 atop the other 2, or the shorter, fatter ones that come in packages with 2 placed lengthwise and then 2 more sitting end to end to them?
