dogs literally evolved to eat human food. it's amazing that big pet food has convinced dog owners to throw away higher quality food scraps in favor of industrial food chain byproducts extruded into a dry croquette.

We had a dog eat an entire expired package of raw bacon out of the garbage and die when I was a kid. Modern human food isn't the same as it once was probably. Or maybe we just throw away a more elite product these days.

your dog accidentally poisoning itself by eating the equivalent of 50 lbs of fat (or whatever it was that killed it) isn't the same as giving your dog table scraps, sd.

i'm not saying dog owners should open the refrigerator door and leave the dog to make itself a sandwich.
