I once blew crap (brown milkshake thick sludge) all in/over my underwear/shorts/ a QT toilet stall in Park City. It was prob 15 minutes of the worst personal hell I’ve ever been in. It was everywhere. I had to rip off my boxers as to avoid more crap distribution. Then said boxers had to be used as a rag to clean up more crap/ rinse in toilet, then sop up more crap until I felt the stall was adequately cleaned (it really did end up pretty clean).

I mean, I don’t think anyone saw me go in, but there was definitely a guy in the next stall when I barreled in there, some sludge already seeping out into my boxers. He definitely noticed the crap explosion in which a non-negligible amount hit the floor.

And yes, after cleaning, I made sure no one else was in the restroom as I snuck out. Luckily the restrooms were right by the entrance/exit I parked by.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

I hemorroids removed surgically, and your first crap is one of the most painful experiences of your life.  I went to Hen House in Lenexa, thinking I would not need to crap for some time, but it hit me while I was in the cereal section.  I rushed to the bathroom (in back, not so nice), and had so much pain that I ripped a chain of expletives that they heard in the store.  They sent someone back to see if I broke a bone or something, it was embarrassing to have to tell them.

Mrs Wacky and I party rocked last night for her birthday. First time drinking “hard liquor” in over a month and first time out since having the baby. Anyways, after Dinner we went to Abe and Jakes for a night cap and sat on the patio. After ordering my 2nd makers, I said “Thanks, man!” To what I thought was our waiter, but it wasn’t a man, it was a female with a bull cut. I over tipped to make up for the shame once I figured it out.

Most months I have no idea what my bank account balance is, I just wing it and sorta have an idea in my head.

This is a thing, I have investments and everything else, but I legit don't keep track of my spending outside of work, I just, kinda do it.

Obviously this is bad.

I do this too. Then when I do check I have no idea where we are in the payday/mortgage payment/CC payment cycle so the info doesn’t really do me any good anyway. I just know in Oct-Dec it does down and the rest of the year it gradually goes up with big swings from bonuses and 529s and other things that even out.

However Nov-Dec is insurance premium time and I will manage to check right after all bills & mortgage are paid but right before payday and I’ll have a “where the eff is all our money” freak out.  It’s then followed in April/May with a “where did all this money come from, did some bill payment not go through?” panic attack.

So is this good or bad? I'm assuming bad.

I have never made this much money in my life, so my lifestyle will never exceed the amount I make, if I just continue it, spend a little more here and there.

Is this the right thing, tho?

As long as you’re saving and you’re happy, I’d say it’s a good thing. We were that way pre-kids. We’d live at a level we were used to, then every few months realize the account was higher so we’d set a chunk to pull out and do something for that amount, like furniture, a vacation or a retirement fund boost. It made life pretty stress free.

I also know a lot of people that make a $10k-$20k jump, assume they now have all this spending money, blow it all and end up worse. Just depends on what motivates you. I don’t need much and am happier when I don’t worry about money. Not checking the bank account was part of that. I found if I watched it closely or didn’t pay attention at all our spending didn’t change either way.

Edit: I just realized none of this may apply because Mrs. Hamburg would check the transactions pretty often for fraud/theft.

You need to spend more time in the investing thread.

I use an app that tracks all my credit cards and bank accounts and loans and crap. It's helpful for looking at long-term spending patterns and where I can make changes. I look at it about once a week.  :Carl:

I haven't looked at our bank account since we got married. I honestly don't even know how to log into our account. Mrs Wacky takes care of all the bills and stuff and I just hope we're looking good. I pitch trips and stuff all the time. That's usually how I gauge where we're at.

Same here until about a month ago. The only way I knew how to check our account level was on an ATM receipt. I still haven’t been able to shake the need to have $100-$200 cash that my dad forced into me when I was 14.

 I always say no to a receipt if I go play poker or something. We have like 3 different accounts right now, so i'm not even sure that would tell much of a story. My fun $ account was turned into the lil wacky account last year.
