My Theory-

The "Wolves" we see are just pledges (Hence the W carved in forehead) who tend their trap. The real "Wolves" Check back in every once in a while to see what kind of loot/intel they have recovered. These guys didn't even have a loaded gun.....more than likely these were the 2 that were kicked out of alexandria then found by the wolves.

Finally watched. Great stuff. Loved Morgan saving them. Wanted glen to kill that bro. Glad Rick did it but sad Morgan saw it and that it might push him away. He's a bad dude. That trap was pretty sweet. eff Gabriel.

Good theory. I like it. I hope Rick helps make the town a damn fortress

Is there anyone in this thread that can convince me to catch back up with this show? All it will take is someone I respect saying it's good.

The past few episodes are the best the show has been since Season 1. New writers?

The show is still pumping out 'tarded decisions and half-baked subplots, but less so than seasons past.
- Gabriel? They need to cut this character and storyline pronto - it's just stupid and boring.
- Sasha just wanders around wasting precious ammo. The others go looking for her, then proceed to waste even more ammo. Speaking of which, why does everybody in this show waste so much ammo? Where are they finding it all? And it's completely inconsistent. One moment they'll be grabbing hold of a zombie mosqito using a knife to conserve ammo, the next moment some dumbass is wasting a bullet to take down a solitary zombie from 50 feet - I guess just to show what a good shot they are.
- The show is still wasting time on scenes developing characters that they promptly kill and it makes no sense. Noah has this weird scene with the old Alexandria founder and it's all like "ok, so this guy's going to mentor Noah." Then Noah dies the very same episode and the old dude gets it two episodes later. What was the point? It's not misdirection - it's stupid.
- The town has one doctor with a drinking problem, and rather than lock him up and dry him out, they stick him in another house, continue to let him get loaded, and ultimately execute him. The one doctor. That's just stupid.

But on the positive side:
- The Rick/Alexandria dynamic has been good.
- Morgan finally paid off in a good way, and could be a great addition.
- Daryl and the other recruiter are pretty good.
- Carol's getting way better.
- Michone is actually getting watchable.
- The Wolves might be what the Terminus cannibals could have been if the writers hadn't screwed it up. Opening scene with Morgan was great. The trap was interesting. As first I thought it was just a booby trap, but I guess the point is to trap people in the car.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

agree 100% on Gabriel, I usually ff through him waking around quivering.  I had the same thought on the doctor from the jump.  Does he have his own still?  Take away the booze, it would take like 2 minutes and I doubt he keeps slapping around his wife.  It made me angry

agree on these things.  especially Carol.  she was pretty sucky, but is now pretty cool.

really glad Daryl wasn't killed.  Somebody posted about the horse being a foreshadowing of Daryl's own death - was pretty sure he was a goner in the last episode.  what a relief!

show is great right now.  IMO, show was in a brusektballesque tailspin during the prison and governor seasons.  bad storylines, terrible characters, crap acting.  now, it's basically the opposite on all fronts.

They will think really long and hard before they kill Daryl.  I thought they'd leave them in the van for the finale though

Speaking of story lines I'm looking forward to.  Pretty jazzed to see Rick turn Alexandria into Pound Town next season with the doctor out of the picture.

Oh man can you imagine. Then Rick could have some creepy visions of her and Lori walking around holding hands or something.

It would be cool of next season the lady was all like "ha ha, I totally led you on to get you to kill my husband for me." But I doubt the show does anything like that. Would be too clever.

There's something dark about Jessie that hasn't been revealed yet.  The owl sculpture and that tat is a symbol for something.  Rick may just have to off her too, you just never know.  I'm sure he'll bang her a couple times first tho.

I miss all the symbolism when watching in the episodes....

Red poncho man = Little Red Riding Hood.  Attacked by the big, bad wolves.

The only thing that bugs my about TWD is the kind of crap Sasha is doing. How long did she even know Bob? Good grief. But other characters have done the same thing and its always equally annoying but usually its over by now.

Are you just annoyed by what a waste of time it is, or are you also annoyed by the arbitrary waste of ammo? Seems like at least one character does that every episode, and it's annoying. Even the Terminus guy had it figured out - count your shells and conserve your damned ammo!

IMO I don't think ammo would really be that big of a deal??  You do raids everyday and your in the south?  Cities are used to supplying hundreds of thousands of people with ammo, go find any Cabelas, Pro Shop, sports store, or walmart and your set for years.

I did love the exact moment they reintroduced Morgan and Rick last night.  Especially because Morgan had just said something about how "all live is precious and should be valued", or something.
I think its an interesting dynamic to pit the two philosophies against one another.  You have Rick, advocating "taking care of problems" for good so they don't come back and bite you.  He wanted to deal with the doctor, Deanna didn't, Deanna's husband dies.  Morgan gets attacked by the Wolves, lets them live, and known good guy Red Poncho gets killed because of it.  This dichotomy could be further emphasized if the Wolves were started by the Alexandria exiles mentioned in the episode (The first guy fits one of the descriptions, really smart and crazy) and all the misery occurring beyond the walls is a result of Alexandria not taking care of their 3 problem residents.

Maybe I wasn't paying close attention but the 2 guys arriving at the trap were different than the two that attacked Morgan, correct?  Morgan put them in the car knocked out and made noise for a herd to come (hardly seems like letting them go?).

I'm thinking somebody's going to get really sick/hurt next season and then one of the townies will realize "gee, I kinda wish we hadn't killed our one doctor all so the sheriff could bang his wife." That would be an interesting revelation. Not to get too soap opera-y.
