Janee Kassanavoid missed making the world championships team by 1 inch - threw the hammer 244-7 and the person above her threw 244-8.

Best jump in the world this year.

Not KSU-related but 16 yo Cooper Lutkenhaus ran the 800m in 1:42 to place 2nd last weekend at USAs. US HS record, 4th fastest in US history, 16th fastest person ever. For comparison, the KS HS record is 1:49ish.

Super late on this but she actually missed the top 3 by 4cm, however she did qualify for the worlds because one of the women in the top 3 was already a world's qualifier coming into the meet.
