If you get paid $20 per lawn and work from 8am to 6pm, that's about $540 per day in a cash-based business, minus fuel and maintenance. That's a pretty good job for a high school kid. The real money comes if you can find some rube who will pay you to adjust sprinkler heads that get out of whack and to fertilize the yard.

LOL, all you have to do is turn the sprinkler on and then walk out there and rotate the head so it's facing the right direction, CFoD. That way you don't have to wait a week for your yard guy to show up and fix it for you, and you don't have a brown spot in your yard where the sprinkler isn't hitting.

You aren't going to get a professional service at that rate, but you could probably find some kid who wants to be self-employed for his summer job that would do it. Also, steve dave mentioned snow removal, so I'm assuming his price figure would also include the winter months, when little to no yard maintenance is necessary, and the payment would still come even if there is no snow during that month.

Grossing $2700 per week is good. . . for a high school kid?!?!?  If you lived in South Florida that's like $135,000 p/year.

It would be easy to mow that many yards but finding that many yards is the hard part. Lots of competition, at least in my area, for landscaping services.
