Problem with the time warp theory:

We had mulitple players on D who had good NFL careers on the 2001 team

shut up, cf3.

2015! :ksu:

my only question is do we try and warn sams about the slut in phoenix at the 2016 fiesta bowl or is it, like, inevitable?  :frown:

He's averaging 9.3 yards per attempt (3rd Big 12, 21st Nationally) on 71% completions (3rd Big 12, 18th nationally); those numbers simply aren't indicative of "dink and dunk" passing. It could be weren't not used to seeing a QB go through progressions and dumping it to underneath routes, but I assure you most of our passes are 5-step drops with intermediate routes.

Again, the intent here is not to be pro-Waters (I've stated my case on his scoring production) but this "dink and dunk" point is not demonstrated in the numbers.

Have you checked the yards after catch numbers because I feel like they are significant

Quote from: Michael Bishop
Waters is doing what they want him to do, coming in and managing the game, and moving the ball up and down the field.  He throws a lot of nice passes to Lockett and getting yardage when he can. I think somewhere down the line, too, he's going to want to move the ball farther down the field and not throw the hitch routes for seven or eight yards. That's not a bad thing because you've got two good receivers there.

so, yeah, I watched the Snyds video on GPC re: QBs.  pretty vanilla, saying that Snake can run it better and #life can pass it better than people perceive.

The part that made me  :bang: was where he was comparing Bishop to #life, talking about the virtue of having an electric, athletic QB who just flat out plays the game.  Implicit  :opcat: aside, he basically said #life may not be the most technical, playbook QB [insert dumb], but he makes plays.

Fact is, I want to go 8-4 and I think playmaker who our coach compares to Bishop gives us the best chance to get there.

Probably has been posted, but I watched Tobias's YouTube replay and found these stats:

YPP with Waters on the field:  5.86
#LIFE: 7.84

Counting ONLY DSAMS runs/throws, average is 9 yards per play.
