Should be two weeks for every year you were there.
That is really low...
I thought the same.

A google search says that two weeks per year is typical.

Sounds like you have 24 hours to blow the whistle on somebody.

Lester negotiated a hell of a severance package for himself in American Beauty. I would watch that tonight after the Cats game and take notes.

You typically have to sign a non-disclosure and waive nearly all rights to legal action in order to receive your check. Basically, shut up, take the check, and walk away. Otherwise, you get nothing. It's a compromise for both parties.

That is incorrect.

Emo, you can either go out like a man with your dignity intact and your head held high, or you can go out in a Costanza-esque blaze of incompetence, dragging the World Series trophy behind your car in the parking lot.

Choose wisely.

I thought you have mentioned that your company has been struggling. I am asking if you thought your area was safe or not.

If you do get laid off, make sure you tell them that they will rue this day.

Once you get canned take your severance pay and use it to start an internet poker career. Once time on that runs out, then use your unemployment for the same thing. You'll probably make millions, so you won't even really need the unemployment. Only downside is that you'll have to move somewhere foreign, but you like living all over the place. The world is your oyster!
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Emo, if today didn't go as you had hoped, remember that we kid because we love. Wacky has some "Can't Miss" opportunities that you can PM him about.

Wife's company laid off 40% of the company today. Seriously? The day before Thanksgiving?
