Legos
« on: December 25, 2012, 10:57:59 AM »
These take, like, rough ridin' 8 hours or more to put together.  And guess what?  If you think you can cut corners on the stuff that's merely aesthetic, you are wrong...because guess what, again?  That rough ridin' block is almost certainly critical to the entire god damn thing fitting together!

eff YOU, LEGOS!  YOU ARE WAY rough ridin' HARDER THAN YOU WERE WHEN I WAS A KID, AND YOU GOD DAMN KNOW IT!

Why do you have to put it together? Can't the kids do it themselves? :dunno:

Not when you are a jackass and ignore the age direction on the box.

Love Legos.  My nephew and I were rocking them out a couple days ago.

Taking 8 hours to build is one thing, wait a couple days until they take them all apart and build something else.

I do love the Lego video games though. My boys are conquering Lord of the Rings right now.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

My house has done mainly Indiana Jones, Star Wars, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings/Hobbit.

My son tears through these things. He did the death star by himself over the course of 4 nights during a school week...at age 7. He doesn't take after me.

Watching them slowly die and dissolve into the giant bucket'o'legos is the worst part.

I think some of my lego masterpieces are still intact on the top shelf of my closet at my parent's place.

When I was a kid I thought the space Legos were the best (they were).  As I got older I started to enjoy the town Legos a lot more.  I  built this town that was run by a crime syndicate.  The boss or his goons would drive around to all the businesses of this town and do shakedowns and collections on the business owners.  Then they would drive over to the Police Station and pay off the Police Chief and then take some drugs from the evidence warehouse.

I think this change in my Lego enjoyment happened right after I saw Goodfellas.

There really is nothing better than Legos.  Everytime I walk by them in a store I get the urge to buy the biggest set they have.  I just want to put them together.  Then again, I also enjoy assembling modular furniture.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

I was at target last night and impulse purchased the dva/rein Lego set and put together dva when I got home. Very fun.

Now trying to decide if I want to spend a few hundred on a large set..

It appears we have a budding Lego-maniac on our hands!
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.
