Oh guys, a friend helped me process my deer, took like 12 hours for everything and we used his kitchen and equipment.  I'd like to get him a nice bottle of booze for his trouble.  $100ish +/-.  He likes bourbon and scotch.  Help?

have you ever binged on it?  kinda tough to get that peat out of your system the next day.

I've been on Laphroaig 10 for the most peaty scotch....any comparison?

lagavulin is my favorite but at dinner last night (mastro's, beverly hills), i went with oban just for a change.  they seem to perpetually be out of balvenie caribbean cask fwiw, the last few dinners i've had there- back ordered.
have you heard of the lagavulin distiller's edition '97?  ran into it yesterday at a liquor store.  i've never seen it before.  will order some when i get back to kc.

not heard of nor tried the springbank, will look for.
