i want Bo at NU forever, they deserve each other

I don't know, I could really go for an NU coaching search this late in the game....coupled with the "you're such a horrible school that even Bo Pelini left you" and "Tennessee is a better job than NU" talking points.

This thread and Nebraska thread are starting to run together..... MODS!

Nebraska is just so boring now. There is no one for them to hate, and hating people very similar to you for no reason other than their favorite team is part of what makes college sports great.

reports from 42's husk family are that they generally hate Wisconsin the most because of Bielema. So much for that. Also, Penn State because Penn State.

Hating Iowa right now would be very hard to do.

GRRRR!!!! IOWA!!!!!!! :shakesfist:

The impression I get is that Iowa fans are like how KU fans would be if they were good at football and even more socially awkward because of their iowaness. So I guess some people would hate that.

let's not kid ourselves:  a NU coaching search would be fantastic.  It's like watching those contestants on Wipeout.  Eventually, someone "wins", but the people watching are the true winners.

Live in Iowa City.  This is pretty true; but they pretty much don't care much about Nebraska other than the fact that it is "neat to play them" (<-- actual quote).  That has got to anger up the GBRs even more.

Bo has to get out before he has to have a non-Taylor Martinez QB.  After the world has seen that docudrama unfold, no way he gets another QB worth even learning the name of.

Gotta get out while his name still allows him to have conversations with non DII teams.

Also, I hope Mangino goes to Tenn.

Iowa City, eh?  "Minister"...bet I know you!

I'm with Rusty here though.  If you don't have anyone to hate, what's the point of even following college football?

Yeah. Missouri and A&M leaving were a big blow to me. If Texas leaves I'm going to have some serious problems. I can't sustain all my rage on Baylor year after year.

ha ha, "it's neat to play them" pretty much sums up the way the entire big 10 feels about NU. No one's going to tear down the goalposts for beating them, except maybe Indiana or something. Everyone just thinks it's kind of neat.

Someone posted somewhere that Rich Rod's base was only $1.75MM this year and raises to $2.1MM by year 5.  Tennessee could get him cheap by SEC standards and he'd still get a giant pay raise.

Rich Rod will probably just use Tennessee to get a fat new contract at Arizona.

Butch Jones will be the next Tennessee coach, a source told ESPN's Joe Schad on Friday morning.

The Cincinnati coach took the job a day after sources said he declined an offer to become the new coach at Colorado.

GRRRR!!!! IOWA!!!!!!! :shakesfist:

I can confirm that they actually hate Ohio State the most because they are the most Texas like program in their new conference. Why are you so good and beat us and have more money than us!  :shakesfist: The fun office email that gets passed around thousands of times is:

Ha ha, bless their hearts.

If Michigan gets good again, they'll realize they went to a conference with two Texases.
