How much scratch are they going to throw down for their hire?  My gut says 6 mill per.

It's floating around that it's 5 years/$5 million a year.

They won't pay anything close to that for Strong or Franklin, at least they shouldn't. Malzhan and Fisher will cost significantly more and that isn't a commentary on the quality of coach but where they are currently employed.

Mora turning down Texas if true is about as baffling as it gets.  I dont think ucla even has a full length practice field.  I mean, how in gods name does that happen?

Looks like it is strong.  Who does he get to be OC?  Shag thinks his current guy won't make the transition.

I think Strong will be really successful especially if he builds connections in Texas, and they will prob take over recruiting in that state from A&M.  I like it.

I think Mike Gundy is a worthless eff.  That's what I think.  And I hope Charlie butt fucks Gundy all the way to the unemployment line.

You know what wouldn't be boring? Hiring Lane Kiffin as OC.

He'll probably have an unlimited funding source for assistants.

Random, but I may have been too young to really pay attention at the time, but did we have any real situations where Snyds was linked to other jobs?  Were we ever nervous?

Iirc, wasn't Bill supposed to be "the guy" at Iowa when Hayden left?

An ou coach search that takes place immediately after a tx coach search will be absolutely spectacular.  Full of panic that it is happening after tx already took a good guy off the market and riled up a bunch of other Ath Deps who 're-up'ed their coaches because of it.  Then add in the ou inferiority complex.  I bet they offer Saban like $12mil first and very publicly.

Source close to Charlie Strong said he's still undecided on taking Texas job. "Don't know what is going to happen," he said.
