I've been told by OSU guys that Gundy and the AD don't get along, and that's why he listened to Tennessee; it was not necessarily a money grab.

Holder is a rough ridin' puppet. The real AD is T Boone. The slappy rough ridin' admitted as much on that 60 mins piece a year or two ago.

Stoops to the NFL, flames out in 2 years. Bill retires after those two years and then Stoops comes back to college to coach the Kansas State University WILDCATS!  :ksu:

Only Baylor wants Briles.  He's not the great coach some ppl think he is.  :th_twocents:

He won a Big 12 title at Baylor.  He will have a good shot at a National Title next year, at Baylor.  Both of these things prove he is absolutely a great coach.
We'll beat his ass with a wet noodle next season.  :D

The situation with Holder has improved.  He was upset that he didn't have control over the schedule and he has that now. Also lol at him going to UCLA. Yeah he's going to leave his alma mater for a worse program.

Also the "Texas can buy whoever they want" crowd has been pretty quiet the last 24 hours. Being mushed by the Baylor coach, while predictable, isn't a good look.

I think Texas new AD just sucks...

SI's Pete Thamel cites a source who said Auburn HC Gus Malzahn has told friends privately that coaching Texas is his dream job.

"If confronted with the choice between Auburn and Austin, it's a no-brainer move for Malzahn to bolt," Thamel writes. "The best job in the Big 12 is a much more stable place than The Plains, as even a play-caller of Malzahn's acumen isn't likely to make adjustments to historical trends." This adds an interesting wrinkle to the National Championship game. the article was written in early December, but the idea that Malzahn could be on Texas' radar stands.

They better flat out offer him and not request to interview first, because an interview might be a deal breaker.  :flush:

Why are they rough ridin' around with Charlie Strong and James Franklin when they could have Malzahn?
