From Kirk Bohls:

"Texas source says Louisville's Charlie Strong has reached out to Longhorn staff to do homework, perhaps lay groundwork for new job. #perhaps"

Just heard on the radio that Finebaum is saying that he had two sources saying Briles will take job if offered.

Well, of course he would.

At this point it would seem that Texas could have their pick between Briles and Strong.

Will be interesting to look back in 5 years and see how those two turn out.

Will be fun to compare those two over the coming years if that happens.

Here's the thing with Briles.  I don't think Texas will let him wear that ball cap all the time.  He's going to have to take it off.  And with it off he's all  :sdeek: :sdeek: :sdeek:.  That's a no go for Texas.

yeah. hopefully whomever takes over for the gators will actually schedule someone. only way to judge them is their conference record because they never leave the state

Does Briles have man boobs or large pecs?  I was leaning towards man boobs while watching the game last night.  Texas just got rid of a coach with moobs so I don't know if they want to go back to that.

I'm scared of Briles at UT and i'm scared of Strong at UT.

I'm more scared of Briles with his deeper Texas ties and high school connections.

I've noticed that. I think we've discussed graceful ways to go bald and that is definitely not one.

I'm scared of Briles at UT and i'm scared of Strong at UT.

Strong at UT plus Briles at Baylor is scarier than Briles at UT plus whoever Baylor can find to coach their team after he leaves.

I'd have to see Strong without Bridgewater before I got scared.  Briles has already shown he can sustain his offense year after year.

this...

i don't care what UT does though IMO UT being dominant stabilizes the conf.

but i'm okay with a destabilized Baylor.

I know a guy on Strong's coaching staff at Louisville, so as far as seeing some super insidery shots of Darrell K Royal 2 years from now, this would be most advantageous.
