Rumor that Ferentz is out at Iowa.

Some rando Iowa guy is saying Farentz was offered the Chiefs job.  I hope the hell he is joking.

Would make absolutely quitting the Chiefs pretty easy for me at this point.  Would automatically choose whatever team Harps is on.

Posted this in the chiefs thread, it's probably BS, but it is disheartening....Peoli staying???  :flush:

If Pioli gets another chance in KC, it could be w/the coach he wanted all along - Kirk Ferentz. Again, nothing completely certain there yet.

On KC: Pioli's best to stay w #Chiefs is to bring in #Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz. Hear Iowa coaches are calling around, inquiring about jobs.

University of Iowa would be a huge winner in all of this. Could use redic buyout to land a big name.

Ferentz would only be doing it for a heartless pay day. Who leaves Iowa with that huge deal, to join a GM who is on the cusp of being fired?

It makes absolutely zero sense for Ferentz to leave Iowa.  Even if KC doubled his salary, he'd have to hope he gets like 4 years with KC just to make the money he's already guaranteed to make from Iowa.

Thank God.

If his assistants are making calls its probably because he's being forced to clean house.  They can't fire him so the assistants are the likely choice.

The chiefs are so loveably hapless from afar. Where else do you get a backwards scenario where debunked reports of an NFL team poaching a college team's coach leaves fans of the former relieved and fans of the latter disappointed?
"How will I recruit to Manhattan? Well, distance. And the proud state of basketball. It start there, and then daily flights to Dallas, because I'm really good at going out. Like top five good. Ask my wife. She wants me to be happy."

Iowa fans should start a Facebook campaign called "Save Us, Chiefs".

So, everyone is in a tizzy because Clark said "I" will begin the coaching search.  If true, and meaning that Piloli won't be running it, then I think that douses the flame on the Ferentz thing.
