DST was state sponsored terror, amazing work to get rid of it.

Well bad news then for you...if it passes, DST is becoming permanent.

Is it going to pass the house? Not sure about the 830 KC sunrises in the winter but whatever enjoy more evening sun more than morning sun.

i can't understand why on earth anyone wants to keep DST but what they should do is put a provision in the bill that they will do it for a 1 or 2 year trial period, and if after those 1 or 2 years there is enough support to bring back DST then the bill goes away. I think most folks will find that its really fine and nice not having to change your clocks and eff with your sleep cycle.

Know what's the craziest thing i've learned about DST? Pre-having children, falling back always meant and extra hour of sleep and springing forward meant losing an hour of sleep. Do you know who doesn't understand or care about DST? Babies. They are going to wake up when they wake up. So falling back actually means getting up an hour earlier and springing forward means getting an extra hour.  :surprised:

I've unintentionally fallen into a serious disagreement with a mother and her thoughts on DST. It was wild.

100p on the kids part. Those little Neanderthals just follow the sun and don’t give a crap about modern advancements in timekeeping.

For me, it's not about changing clocks. I use connected devices for my time tracking needs (do NOT trust my microwave, stove, etc.). Instead, it's rather depressing to be at work well after dark in the winter months.
