I'm guessing Oregon assumed that playing Tennessee Tech, Arkansas State and Fresno State would make up for the Pac-12 schedule?

Of course Beems comes back for validation when KSU is one of the top teams in the country and is in contention for the national championship.

I think it's pretty obvious that Chip Kelly made a calculated decision here. Kansas State could quit playing today and still have played a tougher schedule than Oregon will have played upon conclusion of this season. We don't get to quit playing, though. We still have to play 5 teams that only have 10 losses between them. That's right, we do not have a single team left on the schedule that will end this season with a losing record. Chip knows his team would have had no chance against Kansas State, and that the odds were in his favor that we probably would not be able to run the table. Chip could have settled this on the field, but he chose to play the odds. He's a gambler, and gamblers often lose. Sorry, Chip. If we run the table, you have no business in the MNC game.

The trouble with the Pac 12 is all the good teams play eachother at the end.  Tough to tell how good it is until then but it is still 3rd best.

Three of Oregon's next four opponents are in the top 20, and two are in the top 10.

None of which have played one another.  BigXII would have 5 teams in the top 10 if we played a Pac-12 schedule of CU, Arizona State, Arizona, Cal and UCLA... :jerk:

5 teams with losing records, though. Still, it's a whole hell of a lot better than the Big 10, Big East, or ACC. It's definitely the 3rd best conference.

oregon has had a crap schedule thus far, but they've looked very impressive in winning each game, which counts for something imho.

All of those teams have winning records except for CU and Cal.  Arizona beat the snot out of Oklahoma State.

yes, the Pac 12 is smartly following the Big East model in scheduling; when a league doesn't have much depth you can't have the non garbage teams play one another until the end of season.

It is wise of them to acknowledge where they are in the order of things and schedule accordingly.

Hey I'll agree that the Pac 12 is good, good being the third best conference this year.  Usually they are fourth best.  So this is an up year for them, but only because the Big 10 is so awful.  Pac 12 is 17-9 vs FBS opponents, Big 12 is 17-3 (and you know who those 2/3 of those losses are).  So ya the Pac 12 > Big 10 > Big East > ACC > all the other crap.

I see why.  Every time he posts people fight over who is first in line to tug on his penis.  Oh boy, pepperjax is here to say some dumb crap about KU or Oregon. :flush:

Just watch. People love KSU more when they have BMW to argue against.

It's really nice.  Probably about the same size as Manhattan.  Every time I visit, I start thinking about going to grad school.
