I got one while driving back from a football game in 2009 and had to pull over just outside of Manhattan cuz I thought I was gonna throw up from the pain.  Hurt like crazy on and off for a week until I passed it and mine was a pretty small one.

You left out the best part where as you were rolling around in the ditch next to K-18 your brother was using his hands to make a drinking movement and pointing at you as cars were driving by.
I got a guy on the other line about some white walls

I've had 20ish.  They are no fun.  I've also made stones in my saliva gland since I was 6, until I had the gland removed.

It's a hereditary thing for us.  Teddy_Westside got his first about the same age I did.  Our dad has 20-30 like me.

I've been lucky though and only had the one so far.

You guys should selectively breed to enhance this trait. Your grand children may be able to cast walls of stone from their peens. You are the next phase in human evolution. I'm sure you already thought of that though.

See...my mom has had them many times, my older sister a few times, and one of my younger sisters once. However, my dad, my self, and my 2 brothers have never had one. Hoping I didn't get that gene.

Not sure where to put this.  Either here or the Beer Connoisseur thread.  Anyway...

Quote
Kidney Stones

Kidney stones are caused by a buildup of calcium in the body. Hop supplements can help reduce your body’s level of calcium and prevent the formation of these painful stones.

Had them in 7th grade. Worst pain ever. And I'm tough as crap  :gocho:

I pissed it out in the hospital and it was the greatest relief since sliced bread. Never had them since.

I'd take a rectal tumor or staph over stones. Both seem pud in comparison.

Have you ever walked around the back of a truck and hit the trailer hitch with your shin?  Take this, x10, inside your lower abdominal for however long it takes to get to the hospital.  That's the best way I have of describing the pain.

When I was 4 my dad got his first one.  It's one of my first memories.  I remember taking him to the hospital.  He honestly thought one of his organs failed/ruptured and might be dying.

When I had mine we thought it might have been an appendicitis or kidney stone.  My mom told me after she was hoping for appendicitis so it would be a one time thing and be over.

Tell us more about this story. You took your dad to the hospital at the age of 4? Incredible.

Bladder stone that was surgically removed from the dog.  I know the girl in the picture.
I wasn't sure if I should post this here, in amazing animal stories, or in cool sciencey pictures.
