Not shocking.  They beat the #7 team by 33.  In all, the voter point swing was only 13, which is less than I thought it would be.  That equates to a .0029 swing in the BCS.  If that's all we lost in the coaches poll after Florida's win, I'm fine with that.  We'll get all those back and then some when Bama or Florida lose at the end of the season anyway.

Yea, there is no concern over the SEC. They are getting a team in almost for sure, but they won't get two as long as UO or us stay undefeated.

The biggest joke is Oregon ranked number 2. Garbage schedule in a garbage conference.

The real story in the coaches poll is that we gained 30 voter points, or .0068 in the BCS standings, on Oregon.  Also, Oregon got 50 of the 59 2nd place votes, so unless they start stealing 1st place votes from Bama, they will only be able to gain back at most 13 of those voter points.  They have very, very little opportunity in this poll to grow a lead (or possibly after tonight, gain BCS points) on KSU.

On ESPNU, they said their early BCS calcs had us behind Bama and UF.  That's in the championship, boys.

AP_Top25 ?@AP_Top25

New AP Top 25 1. Alabama, 2. Oregon, 3. Florida, 4. K-State. 5. Notre Dame. Florida gets 1 first-place vote.

Biggest SEC threat to Miami PAK...

Florida runs regular season table

LSU Beats Alabama in a close and/or controversial game in the Bayou...LSU then loses another SEC game setting up Bama/FLA Mr Pibb title game.

Bama v FLA in conference title game is won by Bama in a close and/or controversial manner

Kstate would officially wreck college football if, despite a 12-0 record...a 1 loss team met Alabama in an SEC Title game rematch. Would be way worse than the Oregon snub of 2001.

There would be a lot of voters that would put K-State at #2 with the SEC loser at #3 or #4 (see: Ok State last year).  SEC is not a threat.

Plus Alabama's schedule will still be weaker, with KSU ahead in the computer polls.

I'm not worried about SEC getting 2 in.  I'm worried about Oregon.  Even if we are ahead of them now, they have Oregon St/USCx2/Stanford to gain ground on us.
