basically, hook up some rabbit ears and flip between your TV's built in tuner watching ABC and the google fiber ABC channel during UGA @ Clemson on Saturday night. When the camera pans for a long pass or a punt, does the picture fall apart and get "grainy"?

I get it next Friday. A guy from work has had it for a few months and says its incredibly overrated. I'm more excited about the TV than the Internet. There are times when Time Warner's signal is lacking and it pisses me off, hopefully that will be a thing of the past. Also Time Warner's DVR is garbage.

right, i should clarify. i had time warner and the internet was fine. occasionally an illegal stream would take forever to download but other than that i had no complaints. fiber internet does seem faster, who knows how much. i think you have to have a special computer or device to really experience the full capacity of the 1GB that they advertise. i have a macbook and the speedtest.net results are only marginally better than what they were with time warner.

what i love is the cable. the ability to record 8 shows at once, the basically unlimited storage space, the user interface is great. the nexus tablet is great. anything you select to record is viewable on any tv connected to the network (that's not groundbreaking technology but i hadn't had it yet so it's awesome). it just beats the hell out of what i had with time warner, and i'm not paying much more than i was before.
