Crews working over the last week or so installing the fiber boxes and such in my neighborhood. How long from when the initial crews roll through to when they start bringing it to our house? I haven't had to sign up on the internet yet either.

Yes, the free option is gone unless you're grandfathered in I believe. The "Fiber 100" or whatever they're going to call it will basically take the place of it and will cost $50/mo. I pay around $65/mo for 50dn 5up and bumping to the $70/mo gigabit is a no brainer for me.

the people on the free crap still have it for many more years, i think the original deal was a 7 year commitment from google.
just not available to new customers. i think the new plan looks pretty good but why not just spend the extra $20 a month and go full bore?

Just go to the Google store and get another one. I returned one that my dog chewed up and they handed me a new one and I left.

I have the free option. (OG). One time we had an issue and I contacted them for service. Of course they fixed it in like 10 minutes and offered me a refund for the day I was without internet. They were going to credit my account like $20 before I told them my monthly bill is $0 a month

I have the free internet. Last night i was streaming the royals game, spotify, and general browsing on the same computer hooked up to my tv. Never buffered or even went off the HD stream. And my computer is like 7 years old.

i should mention that i live in an apartment and the router is like 10 feet from the computer.

also i have never had to restart or unplug and replug in the router, ever. pretty great.
