I do strongly believe that OSU is the third best team in the Big 12 this season behind only OU and Texas, but I think we have a very good chance of beating them at home. OSU is going to force a ton of turnovers and rely on that, but it is going to be very difficult to force turnovers against K-State, a team that rarely throws the football. OSU is going to have to get a big early lead if they are going to win.

We don't just rely on interceptions.  We are pretty good at forcing fumbles too.
2011: Fumbles (20); Interceptions (24)

K-State shortens the game by consistently running the football and running the clock between plays. The game will not have as many plays run as a typical game, therefore less opportunity for turnovers.

I agree.  That's why we're actually feeling better about this years matchup than last years.  We had Weeden/Blackmon last year, but we knew you guys would control the clock and keep them on the sideline.  This year our defense should be able to get you guys off the field quicker and get the ball back in the hands of our offense.

Your offense has much less ability to get a big lead early and force K-State to abandon the run, though. You are also on the road. This game is going to be very difficult for OSU to win.

I wouldn't agree with this.  We have a lot of playmakers.  Yes, most of them you haven't heard of before, but you will.  It's hard (damn near impossible) to replace a Weeden.  Lunt will make mistakes as a freshman, I'm not saying he won't.  But, he ran this offense in high school (yes, the game is quicker in NCAA) and the veterans on the team are suprised by him.  Not only his talent, but his maturity and demeanor.  The game against UT early in the season will tell us our seasons story.  If we get past UT's defense......I don't see anyone stopping us in the Big12.

well your piper tiger team is going to be shredded son so just line that new qb under center (where he likes to have his hands LMAO) and get ready to take it like you're used to taking it.  osu = paper tiger.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

 Ok, debate over. You linked a freshman at QB's "maturity" with no one stopping you in the Big 12.

Mr. SailorCowboy, what you have just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone on this board is now dumber for having read it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Why is it such a big deal to realize that in a pass happy, no huddle Big 12 that it's pretty easy to get a lot of turnovers?  Did OSU get a lot?  Yes.  Does that mean the defense is very good?  No.  The turnovers per play numbers are average, and the yards per play numbers are below average.

OSU's defense also got way more snaps than most teams.  when you play pussy bend but don't break defense you can get more to's.

This would get me excited if I didn't already know that you are just hedging your bets by making different predictions at different sites and secretly rooting against the Cats.

I like your style, unless you are just telling us what we want to hear on this board.  Although there has been no indication that you would think anything other than 11, so that is good.

Name  Plays  Yds    Avg   TDs   Ydspgm
UT     865     3979  4.60  32     306.08
OU     950     4890  5.15  35     376.15
OSU   1089   5938  5.45   44     456.77
KSU    907    5130  5.66   45     394.62
ISU    979     5557  5.68   43     427.46
BU     992     6350  6.40   64      488.46
TT     904     5827  6.45   62     485.58
KU     866     6197  7.16   68      516.42

That's a lot of plays to defend to still allow less yardage per play and few TD's than KSU.  That pussy bend but don't break defense led to a Big 12 Championship and BCS win didn't it.

No, OSU's offense led to a Big12 Champ and BCS win.  OSU's defense survived. (This is coming from a guy with a degree from OSU, multiple pictures of himself as a little kid wearing OSU stuff, and whose 2nd favorite team by far is OSU.)

No, OSU's offense led to a Big12 Champ and BCS win.  OSU's defense survived.

OSU Pass Def Eff - #20 (115 YPG)
KSU Pass Def Eff - #76 (131 YPG)

OSU Run Def - #90 (184 YPG)
KSU Run Def - #37 (131 YPG)

OSU Tackle for Loss - #24
KSU Tackle for Loss - #92

OSU Def Sacks - #36
KSU Def Sacks - #84

OSU RZ Def - #12
KSU RZ Def - #77

I would say we "survived" pretty well.
