OSU won some close games that could have gone either way as well. A&M? Stanford? K-State?
We won a few more games in crunch time than you did, that's all.
A little different:
OSU's close games: A&M #8, Stanford #4, K-State #14 (All three ranked top 15 when we played them)
KSU's close games: Eastern Kentucky, Miami, Baylor #15, Missouri, Texas Tech, A&M, Texas #23, Iowa State
Doesn't really mean much to me what they were ranked, they were the same team. We played a much higher ranked Oklahoma, I believe. A&M is a wash. Texas, Tech, and Miami are all tough road wins, so I'm not too upset about playing them close even if OSU did blow (or would have blown) them out of the water. Eastern Kentucky we played like crap, but that was the first game of the season and we had a lot of new parts, it shouldn't have been that close. Missouri the same thing to some extent, and OSU lost to Iowa St so I don't really care how we won that game. So yeah, we played a couple of close games against teams we should have beat, but at least we won them all. OSU lost one of those games.
OSU was a better team, they proved that throughout the season. The close games argument is pretty silly in my opinion, we beat all the teams we were supposed to a maybe a few we weren't supposed to. When the two teams faced off, we played down to the final play. Top 2 in the Big 12 last year.
