Jesse Pinkman solidified himself as the best literary character of all time with that intro. Also with the dinner scene at the Whites.

I enjoy the show. "Best literary character of all time" may be a tad of a stretch

Man that scene was so great. Even The Office never made me feel that awkward.

Means you just used Whitlock as a legitimate source a couple pages ago, I'm going to take that as a compliment. Thanks, Kat Kid. I do what I can.

Not sure what this means.  I listened to his podcast and then discussed some things he said.  Maybe you need to check your source.

I thought this was the best episode so far fwiw.

My source is your post. You posted that as a game changer. Something to really mix things up. You obviously think Whitlock is a legitimate source or you wouldn't have posted it saying, "listen to what this guy says, I think he might be right." If you are now admitting that you know Whitlock is an idiot and was trolling, then hey, we're on the same page. Regardless, I still think Jesse Pinkman is an amazing character. Seeing someone emotionally struggle with the things he has gone through is really rare, and I think the writers/Aaron Paul portray it with amazing accuracy. That's why I think he's the best.

You are a Christian right?  I mean I think the Bible has some plot holes too, but Jesus seems like a much more compelling character than Jesse Pinkman.  Call me crazy.

I don't consider Jesus a literary character. Nor do I consider George Washington, Amelia Earhart, or Bill Gates to be literary characters.

That's fair I guess.  This seems like a poor forum for debating biblical interpretations.  I think just looking at Breaking Bad, Walter White or Gus Fring seem more interesting literary characters than Jesse Pinkman.

That said, I'd like to stop sniping at each other and talk more about the actual episode.

Seems clear to me now that Walt is going to pay them out once he sells off the meth and is going to contract with Mike's contact to distribute.  But how long can they keep the bug on Hank's phone?  What is up with all the guys in jail?  What is up with Madrigal?  Where are they going to keep getting a consistent supply of methlamine?  It seems like Walt has zero intention of slowing down so these medium term questions seem pertinent.

I think Walt is banking on Hank protecting him from Mike, but what is protecting him from Skylar?  She seems the weakest link right now by far, she can't keep this up much longer.

I don't think Walt, or anyone, will be cooking meth longer than the next two episodes. I also think in either the next two, or the very beginning of the 2nd half, Hank finds out about Walt. My guess is that he finds the bug in the picture. When he came into the room while Walt was placing it, it looked pretty obvious that he was doing more than looking at the picture. I think Hank will recall that memory and everything will click.

The other thing I've thought about is if Skylar tells Marie. Walt offs Skylar, then goes on the run knowing Marie will tell Hank in less than 2 seconds after she finds out.

Well, we know that Walt is on the run a year from now. What we don't know is if he has already been on the run for a while or if the crap has just hit the fan. Walt did mention to Jesse that it would take about a year to cook the remaining methylamine. I kind of think that the first half of the season ends with Walt still cooking and then we get fast forwarded to the final 8 episodes.

Walt won't off Skylar.  She, along with Jessie, are going to be key players in this scheme until the final episode.

Walt's on the run.  This much we know.  And whoever he's running from, he needs some firepower, hence the machine gun.  my guess?  He's running from DEA, cartel, or hit men hired by Skylar.  In all of these scenarios, Hank, Sky, and Jessie are key players until the last episode.

Hey, gang. CanCo here with another TV-related post.

I'm good friends with the creators of Breaking Bad, so they gave me a scoop on what happens after the show concludes next year. It looks like they're going to do a spin-off with the two main characters, but give it a totally different flavor. See below for a screenshot of the first episode.

I don't know about you, but I think this one might even be better than the original.  :excited:
